If the rich only choose to go for some extravagant dinner event that aim to raise awareness on certain cause and nothing else, isn't that just pretentious?

random thought.

Accolades, wealth and intelligence are nothing without the right heart and attitude isn't it.
There are a certain kind of people that I cannot stand in this world; not the low EQ ones, but those who are actually smart, yet are elitist, pretentious, uncaring and bastard-like.

  1. Marx would probably have something to say about class and the evil capitalists!

Btw, by virtue of being in university, WE are probably the elitist, pretentious, uncaring, bastard-like ...

    Aren't we the 1%?

  2. That's why all the more we should constantly evaluate ourselves; we are in the position to possibly do pretty much great things one day, or earn enough and more in the future, its really up to us what we want to do with ourselves in life given the opportunities that we have.

hahaha, yes Marx is all for against capitalism. I'll be doing Social Thoughts next semester (:

    who are you btw?

  3. By the way, after thinking about what you wrote here, I don't think you are wrong. It would be hypocritical to claim that I've never once judge anyone that don't seem to be doing well in life. (thus its normal if I can't stand myself when in retrospection at times, there's always room for improvement)

However it would be nice if we are aware of it -awareness may lead to action. Maybe what's more accurate would be to say 'I can't stand smart people with no empathy'?
