Dear God,
Teach me to be less self-centered.
Teach me to understand.
Teach me to let go of excess baggage
Teach me to trust, and teach me to feel secure again.
Teach me how to honor someone more than I care for myself
and teach me how to care for someone more than I love myself
Teach me how to still care for others, even when I don't really feel like facing each days when the tough gets going
Teach me how to bless others, even when I'm feeling hurt
Teach me to have a smile on my face that comes from the joy from being with You and not from mere pleasure of the world. Not from my ability to paste a smile in front of others despite how I feel.
Teach me to treasure quiet contentment again.
Teach me to come to You for refuge and strength, for stillness
Teach me how to surrender to Your will
& in Your name I pray,
