I came upon this phrase when reading Eat Pray Love and was intrigue with the Italian notion of not doing anything.
Yesterday, I check through my Political science paper, sent it to Nathan who is going to submit my paper for me today and I just quite using my computer, went to the kitchen and created my fave.
Greek yogurt sprinkled with a pinch of brown sugar with freshly sliced grapes and a teaspoon of blueberry jam.
All I did was sit on my bed, stare at my yogurt concoction and eat, making sure I savor every juice that ooze out from the succulent grapes and taste the perfect harmony between the sweetness of the grapes and jam and the sourness of the Greek yogurt. I spent close to 20min on that.
and so I like the term dolce far niente, the 'sweetness of doing nothing'.
truly agree with Xiu, I owe it to myself to be happy and free.
I miss her.
How come I don't have????? ):
