So the surprise party for Nathan yesterday went really well! Although planning the thing gave me stress during a holiday, I'm so glad to see him so happy. Just something to show my appreciation for a friend that has done so much for me despite only knowing each other since only end-June last year.
Planning this was really one interesting project, especially the making of his Birthday video which kept Joel at my place from 7pm till 5am on Thursday (dinner included) and poor him had to drive home in a sleepy state. Both of us almost died along the way that day. Thankful for our awesome patience during the making of the video and we didn't snap at each other although patience were running thin. At least I could feel my own patience running thin but I kept telling myself I'm not dying alone and I am to motivate him as well. Party itself on Friday so we both didn't have enough sleep. Never am I going to plan something like this for anyone again. Sorry my dear friends, but it is really tiring and I don't want to torture myself again.
I don't even want to plan anything for my own 21st next time. no party. no frills. no fuss. there. I'm quite satisfied just staying out late on my 21st with friends, listening to music and eating and some drinks. (:
Celebration and Birthday video is a contribution by Nathan's church-mate, secondary school friend and a few close JC ones as well as NUS peeps. Also the whole party is mainly sponsored by his girlfriend although she couldn't be there personally for the whole thing, only staying long enough for his arrival before having to rush off. (: sweet.
This surprise is also one in which he is tricked all the way till he get the 'surprise!!' from those who attended. For that, really have to thank his close church-mates in successfully confusing him/lying to him and fetching him to the venue.
Also lastly, have to thank Joel for making this surprise possible. Without him, there won't even be this surprise for Nathan because it was his idea and also was made possible largely by his efforts.
yep, not done with May babies yet and leaving for Cambodia really soon.
