I just sent a really polite email to the Sociology department to remind them to allocate me a tutorial soon. I am so annoyed with the fact that I went to the department early on Thursday morning 9am, only to not have a slot till now. wth. :( So much for being the early-bird. If I don't hear from the department by tonight, they are going to face a really pissed off me on Monday morning. (but still polite anyway, because when you are polite in any situation, you tend to be the one who can win the day. Something I learnt from working that 2 months last year when we always treat those who are polite a lot better)
My first bad experience with CORS. I was happy too early getting my modules easily/cheaply. The real problem is actually getting good tutorial slots. Hope they are nice to let me join the slot D1 cos its the only timing that I can go for and Bernard shall be my tutorial-mate in that case too. =p
School-life is getting busier and busier, with readings accumulating already, lit texts still unread, this week poems still waiting for me to doodle on, completing my tasks for OCIP cambodia and meeting the subcomm soon (I'm helping out with design, which overlap with publicity I think), going to the hospital everyday, still squeezing in time to watch Burlesque with Yating yesterday. Thankfully I completed designing one logo for the OCIP team yesterday in 3hours which I personally actually like, so its worth submitting to my head I guess. haha.
& I thought I was the kiasu one posting a commentary on a short documentary for my gender studies wiki page, only to realise other students are as kiasu commenting further really quickly, creating a thread of discussion already. -.- Activities on the wiki are graded by the tutor who will ask for our anoymous username soon. Guess when anything is graded, kiasu-ism tends to follow.
time to travel to ttsh again! Time to bring the book that my mom ask for, for her to read and kill time. She can't possibly do lung exercises all the time, so darn boring. :)
Bring polite is the key but don't let them trample on you! :) don't let them take your kindness as a weakness.
ReplyDeleteKiasu-ism is the cause of the crazy bell curve we have here. If everyone takes a chill pill, Life's gonna be awesome!
And don't worry about work! You can catch up soon! :)
