Joy to the world :D |
I can say my NUS experience started during Arts Camp and I really think that's one of the best decision I've made this year. Although I had to miss UMAD, praying to God about it and asking him to make it a worth it decision really did came true. Without my arts campies, life in NUS may be more boring. And it is thanks to them that I have so many excruciating laugh-till-want to die experiences and people to confide in and have htht with, company to study, always having people willing to save a seat for you and the many gatherings and outings and jokes/teasing on fb and so on. :) I really thank God for all these little things that amount to be great.
Have to admit that initially was not too happy when workload started coming in and I felt stressed, plus some not so happy things that goes on in other aspect of life. Various things happened yet I can always look forward to good company in school and that really cheered me up a hell load. But like with all things, life continues and things will come to past and better things will come.
Academic-wise, nothing was really inspiring actually. My favorite module is definitely Korean although that's my most tiring module as well and contributed much to the stress because of the fact that the module takes up 6hour of lesson time by itself. that's epic lot actually. Yet having to be in school at 8am just for Korean is really worth it because I enjoyed the whole language-learning process very much and feel more motivated to really pick it up and be a fluent speaker of it soon (by next year). Plus I became close with a small bunch whom are going to be my travel buddies. :)
and in the end, my verdict is I'll probably major in Sociology. Who knows how this decision may affect my future and life. Haha. Who knows if I may end up regretting and wanting to change my major again and realising I only have 1 UE to spare and I will slap myself for that. But I'll just go with the flow that is my heart.
and I do like soci. :) I like how it makes you more open to phenomenons of the world and to view them in a different light.
and yes, sociology has future. I can work for MCYS next time. It's an option. (this sentence is for any cynics out there)
I'm determined to make my next semester a better one. Till then, ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS with many things already lining up. :D
